Charter of Duties of Soil Conservation and Water Distribution Management (SCWMC)

Responsibilities / Functions

Maximum time limit for the services offered

1.

Providing appropriate technical advice on preventing soil erosion in hill sloping soil.

Farmers / Extension workers / Farm owners / researchers / various government non-government organizations.

After receipt of the request, in the applicable case, visit within 5 (five) working days and during the 10 (ten) working days.

2.

Providing advice on the sustainable method of cultivation of forest, fruit and field crops on the basis of good management of water distribution and hill slopes.

Farmers / Extension workers / Farm owners / researchers / various government non-government organizations.

After receipt of the request, in the applicable case, visit within 5 (five) working days and during the 10 (ten) working days.

3.

Information on data on farming and land degradation on mountain slopes.

  

Within 3 (three) working days after receipt of the request.

4.

Providing training for various duration of sustainable technology for the cultivation of forest, fruit and field crops on soil erosion prevention, water management system based on water logging and hill slopes.

Farmer / Extension worker / John Delegate / Local Qualified Person / Student

Subject to demand and government money receipt (allocation). Or funding the training organization.

5.

Daily weather-related information-data delivery.

Farmer / Extension workers / media organizations / researchers / public non-government organizations.

 1 (one) business day after receipt of request.
